Sleep apnoea treatment by Stones Corner Dental relieves symptoms such as chronic snoring, morning headaches, and constantly feeling exhausted.
We do this with a custom-fitted SomnoDent oral sleep appliance.
This mandibular advancement device (MAD) provides effective, comfortable and convenient treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea. It also avoids surgery or use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine.
SomnoDent works by keeping your airway open by moving the lower jaw forward during sleep. It also prevents your tongue from folding backwards and causing airway obstruction.
What is obstructive sleep apnoea?
Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a common medical problem, and you may have it without knowing.
It occurs when muscles at the back of the throat relax to such an extent that the airway becomes blocked and you temporarily stop breathing for a few seconds or much longer. This pattern can be repeated many times in one night.
