Amalgam-Free Fillings

You don’t want a silver filling that sticks out when you smile. You also want your treatment to be minimally invasive. With white fillings, you can have a minimally invasive procedure that preserves much of your tooth’s structure. You won’t have to be concerned about fillings that contain any amounts of mercury, either.

We’ll even colour-match your filling to the rest of your teeth. Your filling is created to perfectly match the rest of your teeth. Since it bonds directly to the tooth, it can be used on most areas of your teeth without much of the material needing to be used.

What to Expect When Getting a Filling

The first step is to have an evaluation to make sure that you require a filling. Once we have determined that it’s the most appropriate solution for your situation. We’ll apply a gel to the gums around your teeth, then administer anaesthetic to fully numb the entire area. We’ll clean the decay out from the tooth, leaving only a healthy surface. Next, the filling material will be shaped into the opening in the tooth and cured with a special light.

When the material has hardened, you won’t be able to tell which part is the filling and which is your natural tooth.

Removing Your Old Metal Fillings

If you have silver amalgam fillings in your mouth, you might be interested in replacing them with a tooth-coloured filling. Our team can do so, removing your metal filling safely and then applying a white filling to the hole in your teeth. A white filling will give your tooth greater durability and won’t expand or contract when it comes into contact with hot or cold substances.

We provide sedation options to make sure that you can get through your dental treatment with ease. If you require nitrous oxide or happy gas, we’ll be happy to offer it to you. Some may require a deeper form of sedation. We’ll be happy to discuss your options with you.
